The End Of The Year
Parx had the start of a crazy day of racing when in the 1st race the gate malfunctioned. It was weird to watch but all the horses got off to delayed starts. I don't think I've ever seen that before so the race was declared a no contest. They had an all for the 1st race and you got the winner of the 2nd for the double and the 3rd race winner for the pick three. Todd Pletcher who has been cold as ice won 3 races at Gulfstream Park and had 2 graded stakes out of the 3 wins today in the slop. The track looked to be like grease in South Florida, the water did not really seep into the ground, we had people tell us that they've never seen that before. If you go look at the replays you'll notice that the track had an different texture today, looked like grease but felt like glue. Aqueduct 1st race was won by H James Bond the horse looked like nothing on paper but Saturday was filled with horses that surprised many. When the end of the year comes you will start to notice smaller trainers start doing very well, not sure if it's because top barns moved south or their horses are just hitting their stride late in the year. The long stretch at the Fair Grounds gobbled up some horses today, as you get the view from the last turn it looks like it's forever turning for home. I only caught a few races there and there were some nice prices. Bob Baffert took another grade one today at Los Alamitos no surprises there, it's tough for me to even watch this track, very small fields tight turns and no handle the track is so vanilla. Maria Borrell is all over Facebook making a case for her training and trying to redeem herself since she lost all her horses. This controversy will never end, it's like that story you want to hear about but can't stand reading about. We wanted to make a few small wagers today but we couldn't pull the trigger though we watched many. There has not been a real solid card at any track in a while, that doesn't mean you can't make a wager if you like something. It's just hard right now to even look at tracks like Aqueduct or Los Alamitos. Charlestown is one of those cheap tracks to keep an eye out for, every year at about this time you will start to see some long bombs hit the board, so start playing your favorite numbers there hey ya never know you might get lucky.
It's Been One Of Those Years
Especially if your a gambler, we know it's been a tough go in 2016. Not a lot was according to form and the ones that were paid nothing. 2017 will be a better year, may the horse be with you! If you have to change it up, try to keep it simple. Start a parlay pool with someone try throwing in 20.00 each and start a show parlay pool. You never know you just might make a few bucks. Go easy to start the year off we will try and give you a few winners over the next few days but sit back and watch for now, don't blow your Christmas money!
