Aqueduct 3rd Race 12-10-2016

Aqueduct 3rd Race 12-10-2016

This is a race where we think there is some value, this is a 35,000 claiming race going a mile and 70 yards on the dirt.  We are going to spotlight the #1 horse Ready Strike.  Trained by Dave Jacobson and ridden today by Aaron Gryder.  This is a More Then Ready Colt who they gave a lot of money for long ago, comes off the turf after being claimed from George Weaver a few races back.  Dave has not had much luck with this one on the turf but looking back at his races he's had a knack for getting into some traffic problems.  He is very consistent, has had no luck when the turf came up soft last few out.  Having the 1 post is no problem he has the ability to leave or come off the pace and Aaron Gryder suits this horse perfectly!  This is one of those situational plays where he has no choice then to get the best trip.  The form suggest that he is a cold weather sort and the numbers against the others seem to look like he's improving.  Works are OK, which we like.  He should be sitting perfect coming for home and if he likes the dirt which we think he will, he should have no problem with this bunch.
This horse was running against much tougher out of town, this bunch is really not that good.
He will have one big turn of foot coming home, a horse to use in your picks no matter it being the pick 4 or 5.  Maybe a spot play at great odds.  Ready Strike is a horse that's on the improve and even if he doesn't win today keep an eye out for him in the future.
